Recently, my pastor touched on something that gave me pause. She reminded us that “Words are the greatest and most valuable tool God has given us”….and she challenged us by asking, “What are we going to do with them?” I love to share with, impart to and encourage women. Urged by her, I boldly and obediently declared at that moment that if the Lord needs my voice I am going to use it! To speak and to write!

Sometimes, all that’s needed to get your juices flowing and your wheels turning is a dose of inspiration and wisdom. We will tap into the minds of great thinkers – then and now – from authors to leaders to pastors to the wisest of them – God. Their words will jump off the pages and help you come alive.  Words are powerful and they can ignite your passions and give you just the push you need to move forward in your goals.

I’m a foodie at heart!  Want to know what three things really get me going… faith, friends and food. Good mouthwatering food that is. I adore all things cooking and eating.  It is always an amazing work of art to me to see simple ingredients come together beautifully and tastefully.  We will talk recipes, gadgets, restaurants, chefs, everything including the kitchen sink.

There are so many interesting and impactful people, who encourage and challenge us just by courageously utilizing their gifts. Some of them step onto the world’s largest stages yet many of them are just beginning to spread their wings.  Be it a performer, speaker, comedian or author – with a song, a message or a cause I want to share it with you.  And hopefully, as they let their lights shine they will nudge you to eventually let yours’ shine too.

It goes without saying that “a picture is worth a thousand words”. They convey so much and can even tell a story. Allowing us moments to pause and opportunities to reflect, a simple but precious photo can turn your day around and breathe life into you. They help us to see God’s beauty in the earth, dream faraway dreams and preserve memories of times that once were. Enjoy the images I find here and there or that I may even snap myself.

Every once in a while something so unique and beautiful crosses my path and I just can’t keep it to myself. It may be a deep discount I’ve gotten for something great or the best looking pair of shoes I’ve ever seen. Perhaps a novel item found on Etsy or a lovely accessory for my home. These are life’s little finds that come along occasionally grabbing your attention and begging to be put on display.  I will show them to you and tell you about them!

Whoever said “it takes a village” could not have been more right. Nothing great has ever been accomplished alone. I’m a mom of multiples; identical twin boys.  One of many in what is today a very common culture that has grown by about 76% over the past 30 years.  I grew up with aunts who are identical twins so I guess it’s just a rite of passage for me. Parenting twins is challenging yet rewarding. No two days are the same. I’ve met many parents of twins along the way and would love for you to meet them and their little ones.

No, not the one who follows celebrities.  I’m talking about the kind of groupie that captures memories and celebrates the bonds of friendship.  A snapshot!  We ladies love to gather and most of all we love posing for pictures with our girls…our bffs…our sisters. So send them in – your groupies – past or present and showcase your girl power among our other displays of sisterhood…most real and some not so real.
